I spent a wonderful weekend in Montevideo
with Sandra Batista, director of the Instituto Equilibrio (Equilibrio
Institute), presenting my book (When 1+1=1: That "Impossible" Connection) and talking a lot about equilibrium (balance) and connection – two concepts
that are very important to us both. Our
conversations inspired me to think more about equilibrium and balance. Like Papuna Bersenadze said (“Anything tooExtreme…”), equilibrium is an ideal state.
We never remain long in a static point of equilibrium because we keep
changing and dancing, always. The search
for equilibrium is a life-long dance and connection is how we balance ourselves
during this search, how the parts come together and come apart – the parts of
the whole, the parts of our being. And
it’s a good thing we keep dancing, because if there’s no dance, there is no
life. Like the song by Calle 13 says,
Life and tango...
Chatting with Vera about the metaphor between tango and life in my
book, When 1+1=1, she commented: “Discovering that the
dance is not difficult for me but Life is!!!!!!!!”
When 1+1=1: That "Impossible" Connection ¡Ya se viene la versión en español! |
Yes, the dance is the easier of the two, no?
Getting all the pieces in order sometimes doesn't matter so much, because they're always moving anyway.
It's how you juggle that's important.
